The NFL Combine is underway in Indianapolis. Hundreds of former college football players have descended upon Lucas Oil Stadium to make impressions on NFL coaches, scouts and executives.

Few players are likely to make a better impression than Saquon Barkley. The former star Penn State running back should show out in nearly every fashion.

Barkley, a potential top-five pick, is obviously physically impressive. He measured in this morning.

The former Nittany Lions standout didn't disappoint.

What might be more impressive to NFL scouts, though, is Barkley's mind. Scouts are reportedly raving about his intelligence.

"All the scouts assigned to Group 3 (RB) that I talked to today raved about the intelligence of (Saquon Barkley)," reports NFL analyst Gil Brandt.

"They all said he was asking great questions like how he could excuse himself from a team interview w/out offending anyone. He was told to listen for the buzzer."

Barkley and the other running backs will go through on-field workouts on Friday. It'll be televised on the NFL Network.

The 2018 NFL Combine runs through Monday.
