Sean Lee suffered another injury during the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon. Here is the latest on the status of the Cowboys linebacker.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said on the radio this morning that Lee's injury suffered on Sunday night was to his other hamstring. He had previously been dealing with another hamstring injury.
Lee missed the end of the Cowboys' loss to the Seahawks and it's unclear when he'll be able to return to the field.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport is now reporting that Lee is expected to be out for a couple of weeks "at least."
"Sean Lee, who injured his other hamstring last night, is expected to miss a few weeks at least, sources say. First-round LB Leighton Vander Esch becomes all more important," he reports.
Lee has been one of the best linebackers in the NFL - when healthy. The Cowboys' linebacker has struggled with a number of injuries over the years. This is just the latest one.
The Cowboys are struggling as a whole to start the 2018 regular season. Dallas is 1-2, coming off a loss to the previously-winless Seahawks.
Lee is a major loss for a Cowboys' defense that is being forced to play at a really high level to keep Dallas in games. The Dak Prescott-led offense has struggled to do anything of significance during the season's first three games.
The Cowboys will probably have an official update on the status of Sean Lee at some point this week.
