Simone Biles Made Olympic History Today

Simone Biles' dominance of women's gymnastics at the Summer Olympics in Rio continued today. Biles' performance this afternoon was a historic one.

Simone Biles, already a gold medal winner for the team competition and the individual all-around competition, added a third, becoming the first United States' female gymnast to win three golds at the same Olympics.

The 19-year-old star won gold for the vault competition.

Simone Biles won her third gold medal of the Rio Olympics in the vault final, scoring 15.900 for her first vault, 16.033 for her second and an average of 15.966 to clinch the top spot by a wide margin.
In second place were Russia's Maria Paseka, with Switzerland's Giulia Steingruber in third.
