How soon is too soon? It has been discussed that colleges and universities are getting way out of hand offering young athletes scholarships as soon as they get into high school. But North Carolina Central decided that itcouldn't even wait that longto make an offer to basketball phenom Damon Harge, Yahoo Sports reports.

Harge is a 5-foot-4, 120-pound sixth-grader, albeit one with unbelievable basketball skills. He has been training with NBA and college stars such as Kyrie Irving, John Wall and C.J. Leslie. They have all taken a special interest in Harge, and several say he is ahead of where they were at similar stages.

This is just as scary as USC offering David Sills at age 13, who has already verbally committed to the Trojans.
