South Carolina G P.J. Dozier Declares For NBA Draft, Won't Hire Agent
South Carolina sophomore guard P.J. Dozier is entering the NBA Draft without an agent.
Dozier announced the news this afternoon in an official release from the program.
He will have until 10 days after the conclusion of the NBA Draft Combine (May 9-14) to decide to either stay in the draft or return to school
“I want to thank my family, Coach Martin, my teammates and our amazing fans at South Carolina for the support that I’ve received thus far in my time as a Gamecock,” Dozier said. “After talking with my family and Frank following our time at the Final Four, I’ve made the decision to submit my name for the Draft, but I’ve not hired an agent. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow my game and the Draft process.”
Dozier did it all for the Gamecocks this year. He averaged 13.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game, helping to lead South Carolina to its first Final Four.
Dozier scored in double figures in all five of SC's NCAA Tournament games, including a 21-point output in the first round against Marquette and a team-high 17 points in the national semifinal loss to Gonzaga.
