Reid Travis, a star big man at Stanford, has opted to withdraw from the 2018 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-8 forward won't be returning to the Cardinal's program, though. He's opted to transfer.
The Minnesota native has several major programs interested in gaining him for the 2018-19 season, which he'll be eligible to play in since he's a graduate transfer.
However, it appears that two premier programs are sticking out.
CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein reports that Travis has two visits scheduled. Those visits: Kentucky and Villanova.
The Wildcats (John Calipari's Wildcats) might be the favorite.
Travis was one of the best big men in the country last season. He averaged nearly 20 points and 9 rebounds a game last season.
He would be a major addition to either Kentucky or Villanova's team. It's likely he could start for both squads.
