Surgeons Are Reportedly Trying To Save Zach Miller's Leg

Zach Miller suffers brutal leg injury against the Saints.

The veteran tight end suffered a horrific injury on Sunday.

Zach Miller underwent urgent vascular surgery on his injured leg in New Orleans on Sunday night, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

The Chicago Bears tight end suffered a dislocated knee in horrific fashion while attempting to catch a touchdown pass against the Saints. The play can be seen here (warning, it's graphic).

According to Mortensen, the surgeons are not just trying to save Miller's career, but his leg.

Miller's injury is one of sports' "true emergencies" according to former NFL team doctor David J. Chao.

Our thoughts are with Miller and his family at this time. The 33-year-old tight end has been in the league since 2009, coming out of Nebraska-Omaha.
