Tate Martell Revealed Some Big News At Ohio State's Pro Day

Tate Martell will be on the field for Ohio State in 2018. Whether that's at quarterback or another position remains to be seen.

The former top recruit hinted at a potential position change for the '18 season back in January.

"Yeah I think that regardless I'll be doing something on the field," Martell told "Whether that's quarterback ... who knows what position? I've played a lot of them this year on scout. Definitely gonna go out and do my thing and try to stay with quarterback. That's what I want to do."

Martell confirmed today that you'll see him doing different things in 2018.

He spoke to reporters at Ohio State's pro day and revealed that special packages are being developed for him.

Martell is one of three players competing for the starting quarterback job. He's competing against the 2017 backup in Dwayne Haskins and the 2016 backup in Joe Burrow.

At this point, Urban Meyer has said that Haskins and Burrow are probably ahead of him. But, you shouldn't count a player like Martell out.

Regardless of what happens with the quarterback competition, though, you're going to see Martell on the field.

And that's pretty, pretty exciting.
