Temple basketball coach Fran Dunphy is reportedly done after this coming season.

According to Seth Davis of CBS Sports, Temple head coach Fran Dunphy will "step aside" after the 2018-2019 season in favor of current assistant Aaron McKie. Dunphy has been with the Owls since 2006.

Dunphy, who also coached Penn from 1989-2006, has made the NCAA Tournament seven times at Temple. This past season, his team reached the NIT, falling in the first round.

McKie is a Philadelphia native who played at Temple from 1991-1994. He had a long NBA career, playing for the Portland Trail Blazers, Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers. He was a 76ers assistant until 2014, when he took an assistant role at his alma mater.

Dunphy reached the NCAA Tournament in six of his first seven years at Temple, but never got out of the second round. His teams have reached the Big Dance just once in the past five years - in 2016. The Owls were bounced in the first round.

The Owls finished with a 17-16 mark last year with an 8-10 record in the American.
