A tennis tournament in Miami turned ugly, according to claims made by one of the sports biggest stars. Caroline Wozniacki claims her parents received death threats.

Wozniacki, the world No. 2, lost in the Miami Open to Puerto Rico's Monica Puig. Following the loss she posted a message on Twitter detailing the alleged incident.

Wozniacki said she and other family members, including 10-year-old children, were also verbally abused. The 27-year-old alleged security at the event "accepted" the behavior.

Here's what she had to say.

Miami Open officials released a statement in response to Wozniacki's allegations.

Wozniacki dominated the opening set before going on to lose 0-6 6-4 6-4 to Puig, who is the reigning Olympic champion.
