Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams, who finished second on the team in receptions last season, was arrested early Saturday morning for public intoxication. The arrest came after he allegedly crashed his Lamborghini into a light pole and fled the scene two hours earlier.
The Frisco Police Department found the car at 4:45 a.m. They were eventually able to determine that the car belonged to Williams. Via the police department's official press release on the matter:
At approximately 4:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 19th, 2018, the Frisco Police Department responded to a minor vehicle accident in the area of Frisco Green Avenue and Lebanon Road. Upon arrival, Frisco Police found that a 2017 blue Lamborghini had left the roadway and struck a light pole. The driver of the vehicle had fled the scene and could not be found in the area. Frisco Police were able to determine the vehicle was registered to a Terrance Tyrone Williams of Frisco Texas.
The police department also released Williams' mugshot. Needless to say, it's going viral.
Williams was arrested near his home but is now out on bond. Via the Star-Telegram:
He has since been released from the Frisco Detention Center on a $369 bond.
He was also given a misdemeanor at large charge for leaving the scene of an accident.
Williams had foot surgery this past January, so he hasn't been participating in any recent workouts. The Cowboys are reportedly aware of the arrest.
