One of the top college basketball recruits in the country announced his commitment today. To many, it’s a surprising one.
Charles Bassey, a five-star big man, is headed to Western Kentucky. Yes, Western Kentucky.
The talented prospect will be re-classifying into the 2018 class. He’ll be playing for WKU in 2018-19.

Bassey’s commitment has reportedly been in the works for a while – he’s reportedly already on campus – but still, a five-star prospect deciding to play for Western Kentucky is always going to be surprising.
