Derek Jeter continues his rebuild of the Miami franchise.

Derek Jeter has continued his rebuild of the Miami Marlins. Another star player has reportedly been traded.

Multiple reports have confirmed that Christian Yelich, one of the best young outfielders in the game, has been traded. He's going to Milwaukee.

Yelich, 26, made it clear last month that he wanted to be traded. He liked playing in Miami, but did not want to be part of a complete rebuild.

The star outfielder is on one of the best contracts in baseball. He's got four years and $44.5 million left on his contract - a steal for a player of his stature. Yelich is a career .290 hitter with a .369 career OBP. He's been a 3.5 or better WAR player in each of the last four seasons; in 2016, his WAR was 5.3.

The Marlins are said to be getting multiple prospects in return for Yelich. Top 20 outfielder Lewis Brinson was reportedly the player of focus for Miami. He is reportedly part of the deal.

Brinson is the Brewers' top prospect. He's No. 18 on Baseball America's latest top 100 list.

Yelich is the third star player to be traded out of Miami since Jeter took over. He sent Giancarlo Stanton to New York and Marcell Ozuna to St. Louis.

This means Miami will be fielding a brand-new outfield in 2018. Jeter might have made baseball history in trading away his three starting outfielders in a span of two months, actually.

Have fun cheering for your team next season, Marlins fans. If there are any of you still out there...

Update: The trade is official.
