The NBA Just Admitted It Blew This Call Late In Celtics-Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo fouls out of game 1 vs. the Celtics.

The NBA has released its two-minute report for the ending of Sunday's Celtics-Bucks game. It includes something that Milwaukee fans are not going to like.

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo fouled out of the overtime contest with 13 seconds left in overtime. Milwaukee was trailing Boston, 113-110. Giannis was called for an over-the-back foul, his 6th.

The star forward was incredibly upset with the call. He - and the rest of his team - believed a jump ball should've been called.

This was the play:

And this was the reaction from Giannis:

The NBA has since come out and said the referees got the call wrong. It should've been called a jump ball.

Clearly, this is a call that changed the game. If Milwaukee had been granted a jump ball, Giannis could've won it and the Bucks could've had a chance to tie the game. Instead, Boston iced it after the foul out.

This wasn't the only call the referees got wrong, though. A couple of others were missed.

Game 2 of the Celtics-Bucks series is set for Tuesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. E.T. Milwaukee is going to need a big game from Giannis.
