The No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft has apparently been decided on. A player in contention for the top pick says he knows he's going No. 1.

Arizona star big man DeAndre Ayton, the favorite to be selected with the top overall pick, said after his workout with the Phoenix Suns today that he knows the franchise is going to take him at No. 1.

“I know I’m going No. 1,” Ayton told reporters Wednesday.

Now, Ayton says he hasn't actually been promised anything by Phoenix, but he will not be working out for any other NBA teams.

“Nobody told me [I’ll go first],” Ayton said. “That’s just me. I think I deserve that. I’ve worked hard.

“I won’t say I’m the best player. I won’t say that. I will say on the competitive level, I’m the best competitor."

OK then.

The NBA Draft is set for Thursday, June 21. It'll be televised on ESPN.
