The Ratings For ESPN's New Morning Show Are Not Good

ESPN logo.

ESPN debuted its new morning show, Get Up!, this week. The show, which features Mike Greenberg, Michelle Beadle and Jalen Rose, was a very significant development for the Worldwide Leader.

The show is being televised from a new, very expensive studio in Downtown Manhattan. The budget for the three co-hosts is reportedly in the neighborhood of $15 million.

ESPN needs this to be a success.

It's obviously ridiculously early, but so far, the ratings are not great. The show debuted to a worse rating than what ESPN had on at this time last year.

The show debuted on Monday following the Final Four. ESPN was promoting the show extremely heavily. So, yes, while it is early, the poor ratings have to be at least somewhat disappointing.

The show will air daily from 7 a.m. E.T. to 10 a.m. E.T. on ESPN. It is replayed on some of ESPN's other channels throughout the day.
