We're at halftime of the Sweet 16 game between No. 1 seed Kansas and No. 5 seed Clemson.
The Jayhawks are very much in control. They lead, 40-27, after 20 minutes of play.
The game is on CBS.
There was some controversy right before the half, though. There was a flagrant foul called on the Tigers.
It came on a drive to the basket. Elijah Thomas was called for a flagrant for his elbow use.
It's not even the foul that got most of the criticism. It was how long it took the referees to call it.
Officials went to the monitors and then reviewed the play for what seemed like 10 minutes.
This was the play:
Flagrant foul? Maybe.
A flagrant foul that needed to be looked at for several minutes? Definitely not.
The second half should begin soon on CBS.
