The Vice President Left Today's Colts Game After Anthem Kneeling

The vice president left today's Colts-49ers game after some players kneeled.

Vice President Mike Pence was in attendance for today's Colts-49ers game in Indianapolis.

He left after the national anthem.

The vice president revealed on Twitter that he left Lucas Oil Stadium after some San Francisco players kneeled during The Star-Spangled Banner.

Here's his full statement:

At least 15 49ers players were seen kneeling for the national anthem, while the Colts' players stood with their arms linked.

Last week, roughly 30 San Francisco players kneeled for the anthem.

President Trump has been extremely critical of protest displays during the national anthem, at one point saying the players are "sons of bitches" who deserved to be suspended or kicked out of the league.
