Earlier this week, the nation's No. 2 running back announced his decommitment from the Georgia Bulldogs. Star high school recruit John emery took to Twitter on Thursday night to recant his commitment to Kirby Smart and company.

The decision was expected, though it still hurts for Georgia fans who also lost 5-star wide receiver Jadon Haselwood just a few weeks ago. In the wake of Emery's decision, there's a heavy favorite to land the top running back recruit.

LSU comes in as the overwhelming favorite, according to 247Sports' Crystal Ball Predictions.

The five-star running back out of Louisiana is expected to announce his commitment to the Tigers at some point. He's ranked the No. 2 running back in the class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron made a bold declaration earlier this week when he said the Tigers need to land the top in-state products.

LSU currently has commitments five of the state's top 10 recruits and is expected to land three more.
