The star point guard has been traded.

We have our first major trade of NBA Trade Deadline day. The Cavs and Lakers have agreed to a semi-blockbuster.

Cleveland is sending Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye and a protected 2018 first-round pick to Los Angeles. In return, the Cavs are getting Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.

Clarkson and Nance will give Cleveland some much-needed youth and athleticism, but mostly, this trade was about one thing - getting Isaiah Thomas out.

The former Boston Celtics star was one of the most-exciting players in the NBA last season, but he's been battling through an injury this year, and he's been a disaster. He's been bad on the court and off of it, he's been consistently calling out his coaches and teammates.

Still, he said as recently as Wednesday night that he didn't want to be moved. This quote is now going viral.

"I don't [want to be traded]," Thomas said following Cleveland's 140-138 overtime win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, per ESPN. "I'm tired of being traded. That's not a good thing, but I just want to be where I'm wanted. I like it here. It hasn't been as planned, but I definitely want to be here. We definitely have a real chance to win an NBA championship, and I want to be a part of that."

Welp. So much for that.

Thomas, 29, is set to be a free agent this summer. The Lakers don't intend on moving him this season, according to reports, but he's probably unlikely to be re-signed by Los Angeles.

So, this summer, IT will be moving to his fourth different NBA team in about a year. That's quite a falloff from where he was at this time last year.
