Watch Tiger Woods hit this incredible shot from the bunker for birdie to put himself at 10 under par on the day.

It's been a while since we've seen Tiger Woods play golf, and it's been even longer since we've seen him play golf well. He currently sits at a dismal No. 898 in the world rankings. Until the Hero World Challenge (a tournament he's hosting) on Thursday, he hadn't played competitively in all of 2016. He shot a 73. Then Friday, from seemingly nowhere, Woods recorded a 65 in the second round to put himself in contention. Today, he's carded five birdies through seven holes.

On No. 5, he did this:

Oh wow.

That's the Tiger we've been so desperately missing. Woods might be old and broken, and he may never return to his previous form, but it's so nice to see the glimpses of his greatness every once in a while. It might be foolish optimism, but I'm (let's be honest, we all are) hoping this is the tournament that kickstarts his second act as a golfer. Golf is just better when Woods is around.

Hideki Matsuyama currently leads at 14 under par. Tiger is tied for fifth at 10 under.
