Tiger Woods is back. The 42-year-old golfer has won his first PGA Tour tournament in more than five years, taking home the Tour Championship title.

Woods, a 14-time major champion, led the tournament from start to finish. He started today's round with a three-hole lead and that lead was never really in doubt. Things got a little dicey over the final couple of holes, but Woods ultimately pulled through.

It's an incredible accomplishment for a golfer who's gone through a lot over the years.

Woods finished with a bogey on the final hole. It's his first win in 1,876 days.

Photos of the crowd following Tiger Woods on the final hole are just insane.

Woods spoke to NBC following his round, talking about what playing in front of that crowd today meant to him.

"I was having a hard time not crying coming up the final hole," Woods said on NBC. "Once I got the ball on the green I gave Joey a high-five because it was done."

Woods had spoken prior to today's round about everything he had gone through and what a win would mean to him.

“I’ve gone through a lot this year to get myself to this point, and understanding and fighting my way through it, I'm certainly more equipped than I was in March because of what I've gone through,” Woods told reporters. “It feels great to have worked my way into this spot. This has been a difficult setup. It's a golf course that's very easy to make bogeys, and it's difficult to make birdies. My game plan throughout the week has been very conservative.

“And occasionally I'll get hot for a couple holes and try and take advantage of it. It hasn't been real complicated.”

Tiger will now head to the Ryder Cup, where he'll look to continue his streak of incredible golf with all of America behind him.
