Tiger Woods' Girlfriend Asks To Be Left Alone After His DUI Arrest

The girlfriend of the star golfer is asking for privacy.

Tiger Woods' girlfriend is asking to be left alone following the arrest of her boyfriend.

The 41-year-old star golfer was arrested for a DUI in Jupiter, Fla. early Monday morning. He blew a .000 on the breathalizer and says what happened is a result of prescription medication given to him for back pain; he had back surgery in April.

Woods' girlfriend, Kristin Smith, who works as a stylist, is asking to be left alone after being bombarded by media requests.

“She asks, on her own behalf and on behalf of her friends and family, that the media respects her wishes to be left alone, as this is a private matter,” Kristin Smith’s lawyer, Richard A. Roth, wrote in a statement.

“She has nothing more to say about the incident regarding the DUI arrest at this time.”

TMZ had reported that Smith "went crazy" went learning about Woods' arrest on Monday.

"Someone called her and, according to several eyewitnesses, 'she went crazy' and said 'I knew it, I knew it.' We're told she began crying, then bought $5k worth of merchandise and left," TMZ reported.
