Tiger Woods won his first PGA Tour event in more than five years tonight, taking home the Tour Championship at -11. The 42-year-old golfer led the tournament from start to finish.
Woods was noticeably emotional following today's win. He admitted to NBC after the round that he came close to crying on the final hole.
"Had to remind myself I could still blade this thing out of bounds," he said.
Woods had no problems from there, though. He got out of the bunker and two-putted for the win, his first since 2013.
The 14-time major champion shared a special moment with those close to him as he walked off hole No. 18.
Woods was embraced by his girlfriend as he walked off the course.
Woods' girlfriend is Erica Herman, the former manager at his restaurant in Jupiter, Fla. The couple has been dating for about a year.
She went viral at the PGA Championship for her post-round embrace with Tiger.
Woods and Herman met through work, as said earlier. They've since been spotted at several major tournaments.
Woods and Herman were seen at Wimbledon earlier this summer as well.
We'll likely be seeing Erica again this upcoming week, as Tiger and the rest of the American team heads to Europe for the Ryder Cup.
