Tiger Woods Made Headlines For What He Did Today
Tiger Woods is back in the headlines. No, no negative press for Tiger this time around.
The game of golf has missed Tiger during his injury absence, and that was never more evident than on Friday morning/afternoon. Woods took the course for his second round at the Valspar Championship after carding a 780 in the opening round - good enough to finish tied for eighth.
17 holes later, Tiger held the outright lead in a tournament for the first time in 930 days. Woods bogeyed No. 9, hid final hole of the day, to finish with a 3-under 68 on the day.
He currently sits tied for second with Brandt Snedeker, Ryan Palmer, and Paul Casey behind leader Corey Conners. Woods ascension up the leaderboard pleased his fans immensely.
Is Tiger back? It sure seems like it.
Vegas has taken a liking to Tiger as well. Although Woods ranks outside the top 300 in the world (due to a lengthy absence), Vegas has Tiger third-favorite to win the Masters in April.
He entered the day with 16/1 odds, and now sits at 10/1. Should he win the Valspar Championship, those odds will likely increase and he might even be the favorite as we head to Augusta.
