Tiger Woods is back on the golf course this week. The 14-time major champion is playing in The Northern Trust in New Jersey. He last played at the PGA Championship, where he came so closeto winning major championship No. 15.

The Northern Trust isn't a major championship, obviously, but the Jersey tournament is still a big-time golf tournament with the majority of the sport's top players competing.

Woods didn't get off to the best of starts in Round 1.

The 42-year-old golfer just wrapped up his opening round. He shot an even par.

Tiger Tracker was following the round.

"And me misses that last birdie putt on the amateur side. Ugh….thought he was going to make that to end on a high note. Alas…. Shoots a mediocre even-par 71," they tweeted.

"For those scoring at home he’s T-39, 5 shots off the lead. Leader Kevin Tway just walked by my. Shooter McGavin did too. Guess who more people recognized."

Tiger Woods teed off early this morning, so his second round won't be going off until later in the afternoon on Friday.

Stay tuned.
