It can be argued that the matchup didn’t live up to the hype, but the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers delivered for Fox. There is no denying that it was a blowout, yet that couldn’t stop football fans from tuning in.
Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown led the way for the Steelers in the team’s 52-21 win. With the victory they are now 6-2-1 through nine games.
On the other side of the field, Cam Newton had a rough night due to the lack of protection. Whether it was the five sacks he took or the questionable interception thrown in the first quarter, the Panthers offense couldn’t keep pace on the road.
With all that being said, Carolina and Pittsburgh feature two of the best rosters in the NFL. After receiving disappointing ratings last week, Fox drew a 10.5 overnight, which is up 12-percent from the Raiders-49ers showdown.
Despite 52-21 blowout, Fox and NFL Network saw a 12% overnight ratings uptick for "Thursday Night Football" in Week 10. Panthers-Steelers drew 10.5 overnight, up from 9.4 for Seahawks-Cardinals on NBC/NFLN last year. Another primetime win as well for Fox

Pittsburgh will move on to Jacksonville, as they play the Jaguars in a postseason rematch. Carolina’s upcoming opponent will be the Detroit Lions, continuing its two-game road trip.
The next Thursday Night Football game will take place at CenturyLink Field, as the Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers.
Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson could put on a show, which means Fox could see another strong week of ratings.
