Ty Lue Is Getting Crushed For What He Said After The Cavs' Loss To The Pacers
LeBron James doesn't lose first round games very often. The Cavs' star did on Sunday, though, as Cleveland fell to Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference playoffs opening round.
The Pacers very much had their way with the Cavs, winning in a blowout. Cleveland shot poorly, Indiana's offense diced through the Cavs' defense with ease and head coach Ty Lue had no answers.
After the game, Cleveland head coach Ty Lue was asked about his rotations and roster management. He was asked if he felt he was able to get his five best players on the floor at one time together.
His answer: No.
Cleveland's head coach said he was not able to get his best five on the floor together at one time. That seems...odd.
"We couldn't get to it," he said.
Indiana was playing well, and the Pacers do present some matchup problems, but it's not like they're doing so many things that should make it impossible for the Cavs to get their five best players on the floor (whatever five that is).
Lue is going to need to figure it out moving forward. Cleveland and Indiana are set to play Game 2 on Wednesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. E.T. It'll be televised on TNT.
