Bengals TE Tyler Eifert Carted Off The Field With Gruesome Injury

Tyler Eifert suffered one of the most-gruesome injuries of the NFL's 2018 regular season today, as the Cincinnati Bengals' tight end went down with appears to be a very serious leg injury against the Atlanta Falcons.

The injury to Eifert occurred early in the second half of today's game against the Falcons. The Bengals are currently leading the contest, 28-24, but play has been stopped.

"TE Tyler Eifert just suffered a gruesome looking ankle injury that appears very serious. He is now being tended to on the field," Ian Rapoport tweeted.

The injury was a gruesome one. Eifert was down on the field for several minutes, getting checked out by trainers, before getting taken off the field.

Eifert has been one of the best tight ends in the NFL when healthy. The 28-year-old tight end had four catches and a touchdown in today's game against the Falcons.

The Bengals' tight end has 138 career receptions for more than 1,600 yards and 20 touchdowns.
