Let's take a look at the conference bowl records after Friday night's Cotton Bowl.

Conference bowl records aren't always the best indicator of league strength, but they do bring some bragging rights. Right now, those bragging rights belong to the Big Ten - and not at all to the Pac-12.

Thus far, the Big Ten is 5-0 in bowl games with victories by Purdue, Iowa, Northwestern, Michigan State and Ohio State. The Buckeyes took down USC on Friday night in the Cotton Bowl - the first of this year's New Year's Six games.

On the other end of the spectrum? The Pac-12 is having an awful season, sporting a 1-7 record that only features a victory by Utah. The league's final game? Washington takes on Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl on Saturday.

The SEC, too, has struggled. Kentucky, Missouri and Texas A&M have all lost. That being said, the league still has six more teams to play.

The Big 12 and ACC, meanwhile, have held steady.

We've still got a few days left. We'll keep you updated.
