Vegas Computer Says This Will Be The Closest 1st-Round Matchup

The NCAA Tournament gets underway tonight with the "First Four" in Dayton. It continues tomorrow before the first round starts on Thursday.

The drama of the NCAA Tournament is one of the things that makes it so fun. Watching a game go down to the wire is an experience unlike any other.

There will be a bunch of tightly-contested matchups in Round 1. According to OddsShark, the closest will be a 7-10 tussle.

No. 7 seed Texas A&M faces No. 10 seed Providence in a first-round game in the West Region. OddsShark's computer simulation has the two teams within one-tenth of a point of each other.

Obviously, there are no tenths of a point in basketball. But it wouldn't be surprising if this one went down to the final possession.

Texas A&M and Providence will face off on Friday. It is one of the early games, tipping off at 12:15 p.m. ET on CBS.
