Few NFL teams had a rougher debut to the 2018 regular season than the Detroit Lions, who were blown out by the New York Jets on ESPN's Monday Night Football.
The Lions are led by new head coach Matt Patricia. The former New England Patriots assistant coach was hired this offseason.
Early reviews for Patricia are not great.
Lions players are reportedly already upset with some of Patricia's coaching tendencies.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported earlier this week that several veteran Lions players were not happy with the workload during the preseason. They also are not fans of some of the rules he has reportedly put in place.
It's early, of course, and Patricia was not hired by the Lions to keep everything the same. But, after that Week 1 debut, questions and doubts are going to continue to swirl.
