A dangerous brawl broke out between some spectators at the Haydock racecourse in Newton-le-Willows, England on Saturday afternoon, causing a brief stoppage in the competition.

There were roughly 40 to 60 people involved in the brawl, which featured a couple of scary moments, including the fight getting way too close to an infant in a stroller.

"There's a baby!" one spectator can be heard screaming at the brawlers.

Thankfully, the woman and her baby were taken away by authorities and led to safety.

Video of the brawl has been posted on social media:

The race track has released the following statement:

“We are extremely disappointed by the incident, which is completely out of character with a jumps fixture in February,” a spokesman for Haydock said. “Our security teams were on hand to bring this under control and eject those involved, and we had ample security to do so. We involved the police who we are continuing to work with on this matter and those involved will be banned from Haydock Park and all other venues in our group.”

The Guardian has more details on the troubling incident.
