LANSING, MI - JANUARY 17: Larry Nassar listens to victim impact statements during his sentencing hearing after being accused of molesting more than 100 girls while he was a physician for USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University where he had his sports-medicine practice on January 17, 2018 in Lansing, Michigan. Nassar has pleaded guilty in Ingham County, Michigan, to sexually assaulting seven girls, but the judge is allowing all his accusers to speak. The former gymnast confronted the former USA Gymnastics team doctor.

The hearing for former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar began today in Michigan. More than 100 women have come forward about his sexual abuse.

Several women spoke out at the start of his four-day sentencing hearing, detailing their traumatic and harrowing experiences. One survivor said Nassar, who also served as a doctor at Michigan State, used his "medical dominance" to sexually abuse girls. Nassar is expected to be sentenced to 40-125 years in prison on seven sexual assault charges. He's already been sentenced to 60 years in prison on child pornography charges.

The first woman to speak today was Kyle Stephens. The former gymnast spoke with her mother by her side.

Stephens said that the abuse started when she was six years old. It continued for six years.

PBS has some of the details on what she said. WARNING: It's graphic.

Nassar first exposed his penis to her in the basement boiler room of his home, Stephens said, and used “his power as an adult to manipulate me.” Stephens said Nassar also rubbed his erect penis against her feet and penetrated her vagina with his fingers.

Stephens said Nassar, who at the time denied the allegations, also convinced her parents she was a liar when she repeatedly tried to come forward.

Stephens continued with some incredibly powerful words.

"I testified to let the world know that you are a repulsive liar," she said, "and that those treatments were pathetically veiled sexual abuse.”

"Perhaps you have figured it out by now, but little girls don’t stay little girls forever. They grow into strong women that return to destroy your world."
