Thursday afternoon brought an interesting turn of events to the Division-III baseball regionals. With his team up 4-2, relief pitcher Nick Bosma came to the mound to close out Rhode College’s game against Franklin College.
Bosma walked a batter to bring the tying run to the plate.
Perhaps that was too much for Bosma to stomach, as he stepped off the mound and proceeded to vomit right in the center of the infield.
The video quality isn’t great, so a warning for graphic material isn’t too necessary.
#4 Rhodes vs. #5 Franklin from earlier today
Rhodes, up 4-2 heading to the 9th, brings in closer Nick Bosma to lock down the save
– walks the leadoff guy
– steps off the mound
– tells coach he’s fine
– gets a pop out and double play to end it

No worries for Bosma though. He quickly retired the next batter and closed out the inning with a double play to ensure the save.
We’re sure the grounds crew made note of the incident.
