Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid might want to avoid going to Philadelphia bars for a little while.
The controversial defender has already gotten himself into a pair of confrontations with Philadelphia Eagles players – one of which came during the coin toss.
During the toss, Reid and Eagles CB Malcolm Jenkins got into each other’s faces.
Then, during the first quarter, Reid slammed Eagles QB Carson Wentz into the ground, which in turn caused TE Zach Ertz to confront him.

Reid lifted the charging Ertz out of the air and smacked him to the ground. A larger confrontation ensued, with both Reid and Ertz receiving flags.
Reid has been one of several figures heavily involved in the national anthem protests. As a member of the San Francisco 49ers, he was the second player to start kneeling after QB Colin Kaepernick.
In 2017, he filed a grievance against the NFL for alleged collusion.
