The Golden State Warriors are reportedly not done making roster moves ahead of the 2018-19 NBA season. They're reportedly set to sign another free agent on Monday.
Jonas Jerebko, who previously played for the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz, is reportedly set to sign with the reigning NBA champions.
The 31-year-old 6-foot-10 forward was waived by Utah on Saturday. He's reportedly set to commit to the Warriors on Monday after clearing waivers.
ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.
"Forward Jonas Jerebko plans to sign with the Golden State Warriors upon clearing waivers on Monday, league sources tell ESPN. Jerebko has a $4.2M salary that would need to be guaranteed if he's claimed," he reports.
Jerebko, a Sweden native, had a solid season for Utah in 2017-18. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds a game while shooting 41.4 percent from the 3-point line.
The stretch forward will be a valuable piece of Golden State's bench. The Warriors of course also signed DeMarcus Cousins to a one-year contract earlier this offseason.
Golden State will undoubtedly enter the 2018-19 season as the big favorite to win the title once again. The Warriors' signing of Jerebko is expected to be made official on Monday. Stay tuned.
