On Friday night, the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, and Memphis Grizzlies reportedly agreed on a three-team trade. However, not long after three-team trade news broke, the deal fell apart after the Grizzlies thought they were getting a different “Brooks” in the deal.
Phoenix reportedly wanted Dillon Brooks, but was set to receive MarShon Brooks instead. The deal eventually fell through after the situation was cleared up.
That left Washington wondering what happened as the Wizards looked to add Trevor Ariza in order to make a push for the playoffs. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Washington and Phoenix re-opened trade talks between the two teams – excluding any potential confusion with a third team.
The news talks reportedly paid off. According to Woj, the teams agreed on a trade late Saturday morning. Phoenix traded Trevor Ariza to the Wizards for Kelly Oubre and Austin Rivers.

A trade call with the league is set for today. We’ll have to wait and see if this deal actually pulls through.
