A Los Angeles Dodgers ballgirl made quite the catch today.
Sunday's Los Angeles Dodgers-Chicago Cubs game featured 13 total runs and eight combined home runs. The best defensive play was made by a Dodgers ballgirl.
In the top of the fifth inning, Cubs second baseman Javier Baez ripped an 0-2 pitch down the left field line.
The ballgirl stationed down that way went full extension to catch the foul ball and save any fans from potential harm.
She deserved the cheer she got.
Give that girl a promotion.
Update: It looks like the ballgirl is a former Marshall softball player.
That explains things a bit.
