Watch: Golfer Paige Spiranac Gets Emotional Discussing Dealing With Cyber Bullying

Golfer Paige Spiranac broke down speaking with reporters about the cyber bullying she has faced recently.

Speaking today at a press conference before the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic, Spiranac became emotional discussing the rash of harassment she faced online following last year's event. Spiranac shot a 77-79 and missed the cut.

A former collegiate golfer at San Diego State, Spiranac has built her reputation on social media, where her Instagram page has exploded. She's known for her impressive trick shots, but has drawn criticism from some people questioning her legitimacy as a pro.

Here's the video of Spiranac, courtesy of Golf Digest. She admits to staying off social media for three weeks as well as dealing with depression and considering giving up the sport.

Golf Digest has more background information here.

Cyber bullying is a rather serious issue, so kudos to Spiranac for speaking out here and trying to bring awareness.
