History was just made at Augusta. We've got a first-time champion at the Masters.

Patrick Reed held off a furious final round charge from Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler to win the 2018 Masters. Reed finished -15 for the weekend, with Fowler (-14) and Spieth (-13) right behind.

Not only is this the first Masters win for the 27-year-old Reed, it is his first major victory.

He played remarkably consistent golf all weekend, shooting 69-66-67-67 to take home the green jacket.

Reed's previous best Masters finish was a 22nd-place tie in 2015. His best finish at a major tournament was a tie for second place at the PGA Championship in 2017.

Reed made par on the Par-3 final hole to clinch the title. Here's the video of his winning shot.

Reed is reportedly an unpopular player on the PGA Tour. He's not well-liked by some.

However, he is a Masters champion, and you can't take that away from him.
