We could get an Ohio State-Michigan matchup in this year's NCAA Tournament. Who's excited?

A potential Buckeyes-Wolverines matchup isn't ridiculously unlikely, either. It will only take three wins from each team.

Both Ohio State and Michigan are in the West Region. The Buckeyes are a No. 5 seed and the Wolverines are a No. 3 seed.

OSU is set to take on No. 12 seed South Dakota State on Thursday. Michigan is set to take on No. 14 seed Montana on Thursday.

Here's a look at the full bracket:

So, in order to get an Ohio State-Michigan matchup, both teams would have to win three games. The matchup would happen in the Elite Eight.

We might have to get wins like:

  • Ohio State over Gonzaga
  • Ohio State over Xavier
  • Michigan over Houston
  • Michigan over UNC

Probable? No.

But possible? Yes.

Let's all root for it to happen. We need as much of the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry as possible.
