Details have emerged from the alleged incident between the mother of Duke star Wendell Carter and some Rhode Island fans during this afternoon's second round NCAA Tournament game.

During the first half, there was reportedly an altercation between Carter's mother and a couple of URI fans. The altercation reportedly led to the removal of a URI fan and Carter's mom moving seats.

Multiple reporters the game described the scene on Twitter.

At halftime, Carter spoke with a reporter and explained what happened.

Carter's mom says she voiced her frustration with a call made against Duke star freshman Marvin Bagley III, who was called for a charge. She says she said "come on ref, that's not a charge."

A Rhode Island fan allegedly yelled back at her.

"Yes it was, bitch."

Carter's mom then said security got involved. The rest of the game went OK.

Duke ended up winning, 87-62, to move onto the Sweet 16.

The Blue Devils will face the winner of Michigan State-Syracuse on either Thursday or Friday night.
