The 2018 World Cup is wrapping up today. France and Croatia are playing in the World Cup Final. The game is set to begin at 11 a.m. E.T. on FOX.

It's never too early to start talking about the next World Cup, though. And the 2022 World Cup is going to be unlike anything we've seen before.

The 2022 World Cup is set to be played in Qatar, a country in the Middle East. Qatar beat out several prominent countries in its bid to host the 2022 World Cup.

The 2022 World Cup isn't just going to be different based on its location, though. The dates are changing, too.

Because of the weather in Qatar, the 2022 World Cup will be played during the winter. The games are going to take place in November and December.

It will be kind of weird watching World Cup soccer during Thanksgiving and Christmas time, but it'll still be pretty cool.

The 2022 World Cup, according to FIFA, will run from November 21 to December 18. This will be the first winter World Cup in the Northern Hemisphere.

There's reportedly more that could change, too. It's possible - likely, even - that the number of World Cup teams grows from 32 to 48. This would make for a major change to the group stages. It would also make it much less likely for a country like the United States to miss the World Cup.
