If you’re a fan of FS1’s The Herd and its host Colin Cowherd, then you’ve probably noticed that Kristine Leahy, the show’s original co-host, has been swapped out after landing her own show on the network. Earlier this summer FS1 announced that Leahy would be replaced with Joy Taylor who previously starred as the moderator on Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. Although Taylor has filled in for Leahy before, it wasn’t until this summer that FS1 named Joy Taylor the full-time co-host of The Herd.
“Hosting ‘Undisputed’ has been an amazing experience and an exciting chapter in my career working with Skip and Shannon each weekday morning,” said Taylor. “I look forward to my new role with Colin on ‘The Herd’ and the opportunity to continue engaging sports fans on FS1.”
Taylor’s career in radio began during her college days at Barry University where she was the host of The Noise, one of the school’s radio shows. After graduating, Taylor spent five years working for 790 AM The Ticket in Miami where she eventually landed a co-hosting job on the Zaslow And Joy Show, the stations No. 1 morning-drive sports show.
It is probably worth noting that Joy Taylor’s older brother is an NFL legend.
While you won’t hear her brag too much about it, Joy Taylor is actually the younger sister of former NFL Defensive Player Of The Year Jason Taylor. It isn’t surprising that the younger sibling of an NFL superstar would grow up to love sports enough to talk about them for a living.
On top of having Jason Taylor for an older brother, it also seems like Taylor may be dating former NBA Player Earl Watson. Based off of the pair’s Instagram profiles it’s safe to assume that the two are in a romantic relationship of some sorts.
For those of you who aren’t very familiar, Taylor actually has a pretty solid social media following. You can check out some of her pictures here:
Although it’s only been a month, it seems like Colin and Joy are a pretty solid pairing. You can catch Joy on The Herd every weekday from 12:00-3:00 ET or on her podcast Maybe I’m Crazy With Joy Taylor.
