It's been quite a day in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. It started off with a bizarre ending in the Charlotte-Richmond game that resulted in 11 free throws and three technical fouls in the final 4.7 seconds, and that was followed up by an equally entertaining ending in a matchup between St. Joes' and Xavier.
Trailing by one, St. Joe's was running down the clock for the final shot of the game -- with less than five seconds left, guard Langston Galloway drove into the lane, going hard to the hoop. As he went up for the game-winning layup attempt, he was fouled with 1.4 seconds left -- he had two free throws for the lead.
He calmly made them both, but there was still just a bit of time remaining.
Xavier tried the full-court pass to get the ball in, but the throw was off -- way off. Musketeers forward Justin Martin overthrew all of his teammates and the ball accidentally bounced off the backboard and into the hands of Isaiah Philmore, right in front of the hoop. Philmore put up a floater from about two feet out, but it didn't fall. Here's a video of the play:
