5 NFL Teams Are Getting The Most Bets To Win The Super Bowl

The summer is a popular time for gamblers to get in on some NFL futures betting action.
With a little less than three months to go before the 2023 regular season gets underway, the top five most wagered on teams to win Super Bowl LVIII at BetMGM include four options you might expect and one that's a bit of a surprise.
The Buffalo Bills, at 8-1, are the most bet on team, with 15.7% of the wagers. After that, we have the Philadelphia Eagles (7-1), the Cincinnati Bengals (9-1), the Detroit Lions (20-1) and the San Francisco 49ers (10-1).
The Eagles lost in the Super Bowl last season and the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers were the runners-up in the AFC and NFC respectively, so it makes sense for all three of them to be on this list.
The Bills had a disappointing postseason finish to their 2022 campaign, but remain one of the top projected teams for this year, so it's no surprise bettors are jumping on them.
What is eye-opening is how many people have at least some sort of faith in the Detroit Lions. Sure, the Lions narrowly missed the playoffs last year and look like a team on the rise, and at 20-1, they pack a nice potential payoff if they win it all.
However, we're talking about a franchise that has won only one playoff game since 1957. It would be shocking if Detroit broke through this year.
Super Bowl LVIII is set for February 11, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada.
