Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert might get more hype, but Utah State’s Jordan Love is earning his share of attention heading into the NFL Draft.
Love is regarded as a more raw, unpolished prospect than Burrow or Tagovailoa, but his upside could be quite high. ESPN’s Todd McShay even likened him to Patrick Mahomes, and while that comparison isn’t fair to either player, it shows the buzz Love has generated.
Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller says six teams have connected with Love ahead of next month’s draft. All six could pull the trigger on a quarterback this year for different reasons.
Miller lists the Dolphins, Packers, Colts, Chargers, Raiders and Saints as those who have spoken with Love. He also calls Love “the most intriguing QB in the 2020 class.”
The most intriguing QB in the 2020 class, Utah State's Jordan Love, has been busy.

The Dolphins and Chargers could very well take a quarterback with their picks in the top 10, perhaps even moving up to secure one. Miami and LA hold the fifth and sixth overall picks respectively and are both looking for a franchise QB who can take over by 2021.
The Raiders won’t pick until 12th, and their doubts in Derek Carr are well-documented. Las Vegas even signed Marcus Mariota this offseason as insurance. As for the Packers and Saints, they don’t pick until the mid-20s and would likely have to trade up to select Love as the heir apparent for their legendary veteran quarterbacks.
The Colts don’t own a first-round pick as a result of the DeForest Buckner trade, but could make a move to get Love if they think he’s the right guy to work under Philip Rivers and grab the reins next year.
