Cam Newton officially hit the open market today. The Carolina Panthers released their onetime franchise quarterback earlier this afternoon.

Newton, who turns 31 later this year, was the NFL MVP five years ago, and was playing at a high level as recently as 2018. However, his mounting injuries--which limited him to two games last season--are a major concern.

Still, expect a couple of teams to show interest in the former No. 1 overall pick, who can carry a roster when he's at full strength. FanDuel Sportsbook released an updated list of betting odds for what team Newton will be on in Week 1.

The Miami Dolphins are the favorite (+200) followed by the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Chargers. The New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins round out the top six.

A couple of those teams don't make sense though. For one, the Redskins just traded for Kyle Allen and seem content to go into the season with him and Dwayne Haskins at the quarterback position. The Broncos also seem to be pretty high on second-year pro Drew Lock. The Panthers reportedly tried to trade Newton to the Chargers but were rebuffed. Maybe LA is more interested now that they only have to surrender money to add the QB.

Where do you think Cam Newton will sign this offseason?
