Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have reportedly agreed to a contract extension. The new deal will keep Rodgers in a Packers uniform through the 2023 season.

Not surprisingly, Rodgers will now be the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL. Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan set the market with a five-year, $150 million deal that pays him an average annual salary of $30 million.

According to former Packers wide receiver and current NFL Network analyst James Jones, Aaron Rodgers will receive a hefty pay raise.

Jones reported the contract details on Twitter. According to Jones, the Packers star QB will receive $33.5 million per year as part of a four-year extension.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed the news.

Rodgers will receive $80 million between now and March 2019. Not a bad payday for two-time NFL MVP and six-time Pro Bowler.

Rodgers is returning from a collarbone injury that cost him most of the 2017 season.
